Precise. Personal.
Orthopaedic care built around you.
Santosh Jacob is an orthopaedic surgeon with more than 20 years of consultant experience across joint replacement, sports medicine, and trauma surgery. Before migrating to Australia, he held an Associate Professor position in orthopaedics in India. He completed three fellowships at leading arthroplasty and arthroscopy centres in Adelaide, Sydney, and Melbourne, and has cared for Olympic hockey and badminton athletes and professional sporting teams throughout his career.
He is renowned nationally and internationally for his advanced surgical skill in ACL reconstruction, and brings his own signature technique to AC joint stabilisation. His approach to joint replacement integrates robotic-guided surgical systems and computer navigation technology with image-based pre-operative planning, delivering a level of precision a standardised approach cannot achieve. He routinely incorporates biologics including platelet-rich plasma to support healing and optimise outcomes, and his surgical record reflects consistently very low infection and revision rates.
Santosh's trauma experience spans paediatric through to geriatric patients, built across more than two decades at major trauma centres across Australia. His practice brings orthopaedic surgery, physiotherapy, and hand therapy together under one roof, so patients move from surgery through to rehabilitation without being passed between providers.
Surgeons and GPs across South Australia, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, and Queensland refer complex cases and second opinions to Santosh. His referral base spans Bayside and southeast suburbs, outer western Melbourne, the Mornington Peninsula, Gippsland, and Phillip Island.
He believes orthopaedic care should be precise, personal, compassionate and caring, and that every patient should leave with clarity about their condition and a plan they feel confident in.
